Thursday nights have forever been one of my favourite times of the week. It’s the last work (or school) night before the weekend, and for me it’s usually filled with the anticipation of what Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will bring. It’s also the last night that it’s socially acceptable to spend holed up in your apartment, wearing pjs at 7pm, with a mug of hot chocolate that doesn’t contain anything a 9 year old couldn’t legally consume. Not that I’m always one to follow the rules of social acceptability.
But this week, to celebrate my love for weekend anticipation and my dear old friend Thursday night, I thought I’d share some inspiring photos as well as some things I’m excited for. On this particular Thursday, having just bargain hunted myself some new drugstore makeup finds, I’m looking forward to breaking out the liquid liner and glamming it up a little more than usual. It may be rainy outside, but it’ll be all cat eyes and beachy waves in my little corner of the world. And when you’re feeling super glamourous, what with your cute hair ‘do and all, why not indulge in a few macaroons as well? The days when I have an oven precise enough to bake my own are still a bit far off, so in the meantime I’ll say merci beaucoup to store-bought and ring in the weekend with style.
