Despite the fact that my legs are slightly longer than his, this little fella and I have a lot in common. Rushing here and running there, trying to get this and that done, life is crazy right now. Honestly, I’m okay with it, but I just wish I looked as cute as he did while doing it all.
You might notice a few little upgrades around the site today (if you don’t, press ctrl+r or command+r). As I learn more and more html/css (yep, I do it all myself because I’m too stubborn to pay someone else–typical), I find more and more things I want to change and fiddle with. Some might fault that as perfectionism (you know, that ‘weakness’ we were told to reluctantly divulge in a job interview), but either way I see it as yet another learning opportunity. Fun! But the most exciting for me is my newly renovated About page, which has a bit more direction than it did when I first wrote it. Back then, I had no idea what I was actually going to blog about, so I just sort of wrote some stuff.
Last thing: I can’t tell you how excited and honoured I was that Victoria of vmac+cheese sent a little love my way (here) for the LinkedIn post I wrote last week (and if you haven’t already read it, you should!). It’s fun to have readers share comments and stories on your blog, but when someone else finds you interesting enough to share with their own audience, it’s really something else I tell ya. Anyway, I realized that I actually do really love link posts (because it often helps me find more amazing bloggers out there), so I’m going to try to do that a little more over here myself.
So in short, here’s to January’s successes, and February’s challenges. What have you done so far in 2012 that’s made you proud? And what’s next? February for me is full of friends and family coming to visit, which may actually include me jumping out of a helicopter to ride down a glacier–but you know, we’ll see.
