Bits ‘n Pieces

{Christmastime at the Olympic Cauldron}

Despite the occasional rain this weekend, which is actually a blessing for Vancouver in December, I managed to spend my very first weekend in the city this close to the holidays. In years past, I’ve either been on campus studying my brains out for finals, or I’d have already hopped a plane back to Toronto. This 7th year on the west coast marks the first one as a working girl, and that means no 3 weeks off for Christmas vacation. Gosh, I’m growing up so fast!

{my best attempt at decorating}

We didn’t make it to many of the places or activities that I’d planned, like the Vancouver Christmas Market or going skating at Robson Square (we actually did go to Robson Square, but didn’t skate. Does that count?). But since most of my home traditions involve being inside (a necessity, being that I’m from a climate much colder than Vancity’s), it was nice instead to get outside as much as possible to enjoy the nice weather, street decorations, and to window shop! And so, this is a collection of bit ‘n pieces from my weekend. Happy week-before-Christmas!
